This url encoded payload can be used in place of a token and sent to a user in a social engineering attack. This is fully unauthenticated attack utilizing the trusted teleport server to deliver the payload.

Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output

A flaw was found in ansible-runner. An improper escaping of the shell command, while calling the ansible_runner.interface.run_command, can lead to parameters getting executed as host's shell command. A developer could unintentionally write code that gets executed in the host rather than the virtual environment.

Deserialization of Untrusted Data

ZKConfigurationStore which is optionally used by CapacityScheduler of Apache Hadoop YARN deserializes data obtained from ZooKeeper without validation. An attacker having access to ZooKeeper can run arbitrary commands as YARN user by exploiting this. Users should upgrade to Apache Hadoop 2.10.2, 3.2.4, 3.3.4 or later (containing YARN-11126) if ZKConfigurationStore is used.

Uncontrolled Resource Consumption in opcua

The package opcua from 0.0.0 are vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) due to a missing limitation on the number of received chunks - per single session or in total for all concurrent sessions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending an unlimited number of huge chunks (e.g. 2GB each) without sending the Final closing chunk.

Uncontrolled Resource Consumption

The package node-opcua before 2.74.0 is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) when bypassing the limitations for excessive memory consumption by sending multiple CloseSession requests with the deleteSubscription parameter equal to False.

Cronos vulnerable to DoS through unintended Contract Selfdestruct

In Cronos nodes running versions before v0.7.0, the contract selfdestruct invocation permanently removes the corresponding bytecode from the internal database storage. However, due to a bug in Ethermint, all contracts that used the identical bytecode (i.e shared the same CodeHash) will also stop working once one contract invokes selfdestruct, even though the other contracts does not invoke the selfdestruct OPCODE. Thanks to the successfully coordinated security vulnerability disclosure, no smart …

`rustdecimal` is a malicious crate

The Rust Security Response WG and the crates.io team [were notified][1] on 2022-05-02 of the existence of the malicious crate rustdecimal, which contained malware. The crate name was intentionally similar to the name of the popular [rust_decimal][2] crate, hoping that potential victims would misspell its name (an attack called "typosquatting"). To protect the security of the ecosystem, the crates.io team permanently removed the crate from the registry as soon as …

Rust-WebSocket memory allocation based on untrusted length

Untrusted websocket connections can cause an out-of-memory (OOM) process abort in a client or a server. The root cause of the issue is during dataframe parsing. Affected versions would allocate a buffer based on the declared dataframe size, which may come from an untrusted source. When Vec::with_capacity fails to allocate, the default Rust allocator will abort the current process, killing all threads. This affects only sync (non-Tokio) implementation. Async version …

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection')

PostgreSQL JDBC Driver (PgJDBC for short) allows Java programs to connect to a PostgreSQL database using standard, database independent Java code. The PGJDBC implementation of the java.sql.ResultRow.refreshRow() method is not performing escaping of column names so a malicious column name that contains a statement terminator, e.g. ;, could lead to SQL injection. This could lead to executing additional SQL commands as the application's JDBC user. User applications that do not …

jQuery UI vulnerable to XSS when refreshing a checkboxradio with an HTML-like initial text label

Initializing a checkboxradio widget on an input enclosed within a label makes that parent label contents considered as the input label. If you call .checkboxradio( "refresh" ) on such a widget and the initial HTML contained encoded HTML entities, they will erroneously get decoded. This can lead to potentially executing JavaScript code. For example, starting with the following initial secure HTML: <label> <input id="test-input"> &lt;img src=x onerror="alert(1)"&gt; </label> and calling: …

Missing Authentication for Critical Function

Apache Hive before 3.1.3 "CREATE" and "DROP" function operations does not check for necessary authorization of involved entities in the query. It was found that an unauthorized user can manipulate an existing UDF without having the privileges to do so. This allowed unauthorized or underprivileged users to drop and recreate UDFs pointing them to new jars that could be potentially malicious.

Workers for local Dask clusters mistakenly listened on public interfaces

Versions of distributed earlier than 2021.10.0 had a potential security vulnerability relating to single-machine Dask clusters. Clusters started with dask.distributed.LocalCluster or dask.distributed.Client() (which defaults to using LocalCluster) would mistakenly configure their respective Dask workers to listen on external interfaces (typically with a randomly selected high port) rather than only on localhost. A Dask cluster created using this method AND running on a machine that has these ports exposed could be …

Whoogle Search Cross-site Scripting via string parameter

The package whoogle-search before version 0.7.2 is vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting (XSS) via the query string parameter q. In the case where it does not contain the http string, it is used to build the error_message that is then rendered in the error.html template, using the flask.render_template function. However, the error_message is rendered using the | safe filter, meaning the user input is not escaped.
